jerialyd Lozada,a key player on the women’s team,expressed her profound gratitude and excitement upon receiving her uniform. This marks her first time representing Puerto rico in a Special Olympics event, a moment she has clearly cherished.

Lozada’s sentiment underscores the powerful impact of these events,not just on the athletes but also on their support systems. The women’s team is set to make their debut on december 5th at 12:00 noon, facing Angola in their opening match.

Navigating the Tournament: Key Matchups and Schedule

The path through the tournament promises challenging yet rewarding matchups for both squads. Following their initial games,the women’s team will face Egypt on December 5th at 7:00 pm,and conclude their group stage play against Jamaica on December 6th at 12:00 noon.

The men’s team will also be in action, with their second group stage game scheduled for December 5th at 7:40 pm against the United Arab Emirates. Their final group match will be against Italy on December 6th at 11:20 am.

The crucial elimination rounds are slated to commence on December 6th at 2:30 pm. The highly anticipated third-place matches and championship finals, across various divisions, will take place on December 7th, beginning at 2:00 pm.
