The Vfl Bückeburg invites you to a trial training session: “Material for beginners is provided. Just pack your sports bag and off you go. Are you there?” On Saturday, December 6th, VfL invites you to a free trial training session in the trendy sport of pickleball in the Am Harrl sports hall from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Due to construction work, access to the hall is via Fürst-Ernst-Straße. Anyone aged 13 and over can take part, regardless of whether they are experienced in sports or curious about something new. Those who prefer to watch first are welcome in the afternoon between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. when the leisure group holds its St. Nicholas tournament.
Pickleball – it sounds unusual at first, hardly anyone knows the sport, but it is causing a stir all over the world. The game is played on a badminton court with a light racket (paddle) and a special hole ball. The sport combines elements of badminton, tennis and table tennis and is easy to learn but still challenging. You usually play in doubles, which, in addition to exercise, also promotes team spirit and fairness.
Kerstin and Oliver Jokisch, experienced trainers and pioneers of the German pickleball sport, are behind the offer. With the start at VfL and the new hall, there are now four playing fields available. So there’s enough space for everyone who just wants to try out pickleball. Prior registration is required as places are limited: by phone on 0178 6862341 or by email to casey-sports@web.de.
