Jalukie Town, Peren District – November 14, 2025 – The Indoor Badminton Stadium in Jalukie Town buzzed with energy as the 11th Peren District Inter-Departmental Tournament 2025 culminated in a spectacular closing ceremony. Divisional Forest Officer of Peren, Chisayi, IFS, served as the esteemed Guest of Honor, celebrating the dedication and athletic prowess displayed by participants from 41 departments.
The three-day tournament, a vibrant showcase of local talent and inter-departmental camaraderie, saw fierce competition across a range of sports. Chisayi lauded the athletes, stating, I was deeply impressed by the display of skill, fitness, and sportsmanship demonstrated throughout the event.

In the Men’s Singles Badminton, Kidungyi (DEF) clinched the championship title, demonstrating exceptional skill and focus. Kekungdibo wanchang of Social Welfare secured a commendable second place. The Men’s Doubles Badminton saw a dominant performance from the Education department, with Isapsibe Siang and Dinchap Rentta taking home the gold. Chungkhokai Singson and Kamjagin Singson, also representing Education, earned the silver medal.
The Mixed Doubles category provided edge-of-your-seat action. Kekungdibo Wanchang and Abeno, representing Social Welfare, emerged victorious, showcasing seamless coordination.Dinchap Rentta and Lily Khing from the Education department fought hard to secure the runner-up position.
