The Oklahoma City Thunder remain the benchmark in the NBA and have also won their seventh game of the season since the start. The defending champions won 137:106 against the New Orleans Pelicans. Isaiah Hartenstein had a strong home game, recording 14 points, 14 rebounds and making eight baskets. With ten defensive rebounds, he played a huge part in his team’s success.
The man of the game was once again Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who had 30 points, 7 assists and 2 rebounds. All OKC professionals used scored points. In the final quarter the lead was 36 points. Zion Williamson was the most successful for the Pelicans with 20 points.
The Oklahoma City Thunder started last season with seven wins in a row and ended up winning the title for the first time in their history. Starting with seven wins in two consecutive seasons has only been achieved by two teams in the history of the NBA – most recently the Houston Rockets 30 years ago.
