The defeat against the Chicago Bulls seems to have been the most classic of the interlocutions: Denver also wins against Houston and continues its “chase” in Oklahoma City which is currently uncatchable but not too far away. The next obstacle that the Nuggets will have to face in this attempt at consolidation will be, on paper, more manageable than the one they have just overcome: the Kings who are, unlike their opponents, stringing together series defeats that go even beyond the most pessimistic predictions at the beginning of the season.
With everyone available except Domantas Sabonis, Sacramento in fact suffered, in the last match played, a blowout at the home of the Memphis Grizzlies who were certainly not doing well and this very heavy result (137-96) therefore appears as a negative peak that will remain imprinted for some time. Recovering against these very fast Nuggets will be a difficult task even if the Kings can at least hope to emulate, in part, the match played on October 30th, again at the Ball Arena and lost by only six points. Even the subsequent match in California coincided, after all, with an honorable defeat for Christie’s boys who, however, regarding the aforementioned disaster against Memphis, spoke both of the urgency and need for recovery and of some good signs seen from the younger players (Keegan Murray above all).
Against a solid and strong Denver that has a Jokic in great shape, however, the chances appear really low and this therefore doesn’t really seem like the match where the Kings can recover.
