The All Blacks kicked off their autumn tour with a 26-13 victory against the Irish in Chicago, nine years after the first defeat in their history against the men in green, on the same pitch at Soldier Field.
Three tries scored in the last twenty minutes allowed a muddled New Zealand to turn the situation around to win 26-13 against Ireland on Saturday in Chicago, thus taking revenge on the 2016 meeting in the same city, when the All Blacks lost for the first time against the Irish.
Lacking fluidity, New Zealand looked in real danger of suffering a fifth defeat against the Irish, before prop Tamaiti Williams scored against the run of play in the 61st minute, then substitute Wallace Sititi widened the gap six minutes later, giving the All Blacks an eight-point lead.
