In a remarkable display of talent and determination, Czech tennis sensation Jakub Mensik has officially qualified for the Next Gen ATP Finals presented by PIF for the second consecutive year.This achievement marks a important milestone in what has been a truly breakout season for the young star.

Mensik etched his name in tennis history earlier this year in Miami. In a stunning upset that echoed the kind of seismic shifts seen in othre major American sports, he defeated tennis legend Novak Djokovic in the final. This victory made him the second-youngest champion in the tournament’s history, trailing only Carlos Alcaraz. At just 19 years old, Mensik became only the fifth player under the age of 20 to ever defeat Djokovic on the ATP tour, a feat comparable to a rookie quarterback outdueling a seasoned NFL MVP in a championship game.
His 2025 campaign has been nothing short of spectacular. Mensik reached a career-high ranking of No. 16 in the PIF ATP Rankings in August. His remarkable win-loss record, as tracked by the Infosys ATP win/Loss Index, includes four victories against Top 10 opponents this year. In Miami, his path to glory saw him overcome formidable challenges from Jack draper, Taylor Fritz, and Djokovic himself. He also demonstrated his prowess at the Australian Open, eliminating Casper Ruud en route to the third round.
Beyond his Miami triumph, Mensik has consistently performed at a high level. He reached the quarterfinals in Madrid and the fourth round in Rome,showcasing his adaptability on different surfaces. His strong performances extended to other tournaments as well, with quarterfinal appearances in Brisbane, auckland, Eastbourne, and Beijing.
