In conflict with PSG since his departure to Real Madrid in the summer of 2024, the captain of the Blues will demand the payment of €55 million in unpaid debts as well as the reclassification of his fixed-term contract into a permanent contract this Monday, in Paris, before the industrial tribunal.
The Kylian Mbappé-PSG soap opera will experience a crucial episode this Monday, with a hearing at the Paris industrial tribunal where the captain of the Blues will demand from his ex-employer the payment of 55 million euros in unpaid debts as well as the reclassification of his CDD into a permanent contract. In the Parisian premises of the industrial tribunal, unaccustomed to dealing with such high-profile cases, the two parties will meet from 1:00 p.m. “directly to the judging office”without going through the box of «conciliation» prior, “because Kylian Mbappé requests the reclassification of his CDD into a CDI”indicated a judicial source to AFP.
Contacted by AFP, the capital club and the Real Madrid striker’s entourage wished to reserve their comments for the hearing, the decision of which will not be taken for several months, given the deadlines in force at the industrial tribunal. “There is just one employee facing a bad payer”denounced Mbappé’s lawyer, Me Delphine Verheyden, at a press conference in April, adding that her client “assumes to have his rights respected, for himself but also for all the other players” wronged by their clubs.

This dispute has long poisoned the star’s relations with his former club. The striker was sidelined from the professional group at the start of the 2023-24 season by PSG, because he wanted to complete his contract until the summer of 2024, while closing the door to an extension at the end. Mbappé was finally reinstated after the first day of the championship.
55 million euros
PSG assures that this reinstatement was carried out following an agreement between the two parties stipulating that the player had to give up part of the sums due at the end of his contract, to preserve the financial health of the club. A “fantasy”according to the Mbappé camp. The captain of the Blues, who finally joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2024, at the end of his contract without transfer compensation for PSG, is thus claiming 55 million euros in unpaid bonuses and salaries, affirming on the contrary that no agreement to waive it existed between him and the club, according to his entourage. A “fantastic tale”affirms for its part PSG, which points to meetings in the heart of summer 2023.
The player had obtained the precautionary seizure of this sum from PSG’s accounts last April, but this decision was then canceled on May 26 by the courts.
Monday’s hearing at the Industrial Tribunal takes place four months after the withdrawal in July of the criminal complaint for moral harassment filed by the player in May against PSG. Despite this withdrawal, the investigation which had been opened was still in progress this summer. The two camps also argued for a long time before the sporting authorities, LFP and FFF, which declared themselves unable to enforce their decisions favorable to the player, due to an ongoing orientation hearing requested by the club before the Paris judicial court. This was to be held in May but was postponed, with no new date known.

Sportingly, the star is currently going through a prosperous period. Author of a double on Thursday against Ukraine (4-0), which brought his number of goals scored in all competitions to 400, a precocity record at 26 years old, he largely contributed to the qualification of the French team for the 2026 World Cup. Slightly injured, he was made available to Real Madrid, of which he became the strong man, demonstrating that he has indeed turned the page on PSG for several months, not without having paid tribute to his former club, during his coronation in the Champions League in the spring.
