Iksan Victor Korea Masters Badminton Championships Ignites with Global Talent
The 2025 Iksan Victor Korea Masters Badminton Championships, currently underway at Wonkwang University in Iksan-si, Jeollabuk-do, is proving to be a thrilling spectacle for badminton fans worldwide. This prestigious event,sanctioned by the badminton World Federation (BWF) and organized by the Korea Badminton association and the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Badminton Association,runs until the 9th and has already showcased an intense level of competition.
With a ample prize pool of $240,000 (approximately 340 million Korean won), the tournament has attracted 320 elite players from 27 different nations. This global gathering underscores the championship’s importance on the international badminton calendar, drawing top talent eager to test their skills and vie for championship glory.

Adding to the excitement, fans had the prospect to meet some of the sport’s biggest stars. On the 8th, world number one in women’s singles, Ahn Se-young, and the formidable men’s doubles pair of Seo Seung-jae and Kim Won-ho, also ranked number one globally, participated in a fan signing event. While not competing in this particular tournament, their presence offered a valuable chance for fans to connect with their idols and express their thankfulness for the athletes’ dedication.

On the 9th, fans can look forward to meeting Gong Hee-yong, the world’s 3rd ranked women’s doubles player, at 1 p.m. Following that, at 2 p.m., the 23rd ranked men’s doubles team of Min-hyuk Kang and Dong-joo Ki, along with the 22nd ranked women’s doubles duo of Na-eun Jeong and Yeon-woo lee, will be on hand to interact with supporters.
