A national archery competition with a 24-target 3D shooting course, supervised by the Arc de la Butte club, took place on Sunday October 26 in Gourdon under magnificent sunshine. This challenge is practiced on three-dimensional animal targets with precision zones (11/10/8/5 points possible). Each archer shoots two arrows per target. The day consists of two starts, morning and afternoon, so archers can participate in one or two starts.
Lucile Barconnière, president of the Gourdonnais club, recounts a sporting success on a tourist scale: “Many competitors came from several regions: Brittany, Savoie, Charente, Pyrenees, etc., and took the opportunity to spend a few days in the Lot”.
The president and the entire team greatly appreciated the smiles of the archers, their compliments and encouragement to continue in this spirit. On behalf of the club, she sends a big thank you to the partners who, each year, follow this discipline and reward the archers with products from Lot companies, as well as to the three national referees, volunteers, club members and friends for the success of this day. Frédéric Gineste, vice-president of the department, made the trip for the awards ceremony.
