Scheduled for this Saturday, November 8 at 6 p.m. as part of the 6th day of Regional 2, the match between Salies Mane and US Aignan is finally postponed due to bad weather. News which does not necessarily delight the Armagnac locker room.
The vagaries of the sky thwart the plans of US Aignan (6th, 9 pts). Or rather stop the good dynamic of the Armagnacais. David Gomez’s men were due to present themselves this Saturday evening (6 p.m.) at Salies Mane (12th, 3 pts), with three victories in a row in this Regional 2 championship. In the end, it was nothing of the sort: the great series was suddenly put on hold.

The fault of the postponement of the meeting due to the bad weather forecast this weekend in Haute-Garonne. The host club announced the news in the morning on its social networks. A “frustrating” decision for the Aignan locker room. “The players were impatiently waiting for this match to hope to finish the block positively, because we are back on the right track,” reports Maxime Aurensan, president of the USA.
“Frustrating” decision
A setback that comes at a bad time for a team in great shape which had the possibility of getting closer to the podium. “It’s unfortunate for us, because we are on a good dynamic with a group that was complete this weekend,” continues the man who also holds the position of co-coach of the winning team. A squad which will not be as strong next weekend, when the meeting should be rescheduled.

“Unfortunately, like everyone in the amateur world, we have players who have something planned,” regrets Maxime Aurensan. “But as we said with David Gomez (co-coach), it’s not very serious because it will allow players to join the first team,” he puts things into perspective.
One thing is certain: clubs will have to get used to dealing with the weather. This postponement will undoubtedly not be the last. After all…it’s in season.
