CW Albacete: League Winning Start | 3 Victories

Last Saturday the FNCV league started, in which CW Albacete participates again. The Albacete team debuted at home, at the Juan de Toledo pool, hosting CW Carthago, with matches in all categories.

The smallest, the Benjamins, played a great game, with great success in front of goal, and took the victory with a resounding 6-1.

The fry played a very close match, with continuous alternations on the scoreboard. The last minute was tied at nine points, but a visiting goal with 40 seconds left deprived the Albaceteños of scoring in their league debut, losing 9-10.

In the children’s category, CW Albacete dominated a good part of the match and had a four-goal advantage. However, the final push by the Cartagena team was about to balance the score. Finally, the victory remained at home by a tight 11-10.

The duel between the cadets was the most unequal of the day. Carthago’s superiority was evident from the beginning, and although the people of Albacete did not give up, they could not avoid the defeat, falling 5-19.

Finally, a friendly match was played between the senior teams. The locals started strongly, but wasted several clear chances that would have allowed them to close the match earlier. The final stretch was complicated, although Albacete ended up winning, achieving a 15-11 victory.

After these matches, the league will resume in two weeks with a trip to Castellón. Meanwhile, the senior and junior teams will travel to the capital this Sunday to hold a stage together with the Madrid team Brains.
