Clan Member Arrested: Extortion Scheme Foiled

He was arrested by the police immediately after pocketing three thousand euros in cash, part of a sum of 175 thousand euros that he had been extorting from his victim for some time. With this hypothesis, the agents of the Flying Squad of Frosinone with the help of the personnel arrived from Rome of the Investigative Sections Specialized in Organized Crime (Sisco) arrested a man belonging to a well-known Sinti family settled in the capital.

According to what was hypothesized by the investigators of the police commissioner Stanislao Caruso, in the first days of October the arrested person would have reached the victim, a trader from the capital, with whom he claimed to have a credit of 175 thousand euros. He would have accrued it, he claimed, as a consequence of an insult received by the victim himself and from which economic damage would have resulted. He had allowed him to pay them in installments of 3 thousand euros per month. The Sinti was tracked down and stopped near the commercial activity in Frosinone and arrested after handing over the money. During the searches following the arrest, the police seized a few grams of cocaine, a baseball bat, as well as 5 thousand euros in cash.
