One Chelsea player appeared to have limped off through injury during the latest international break this weekend, but it’s good news.
You don’t often hear the word ‘injury’ associated with ‘good news’, but in this case, there is simply nothing to fear, everything is fine.
In the last round of international matches, Estevao Willian scored a beautiful goal for Brazil and then received great criticism from former Chelsea manager and now Brazil coach, Carlo Ancelotti.
And Chelsea’s future new striker, Emanuel Emegha, who continues to play for Strasbourg, debuted with the absolute of the Netherlands team after a very good recent form.
Both finished the game without injury, thankfully, but there have been other Chelsea players in action over the weekend too, including Jamie Gittens, who was representing England at under-21 level.

The England U21s beat the Republic of Ireland U21s 2-0 and in fact it was another Chelsea player, Tyrique George, who scored the second goal for England.
But Gittens started the game on the wing and, unfortunately, limped off.
However, it is good news.
The Sun states that Gittens has reported no problems from the hit this morning.
He will travel with the squad for Tuesday’s game in Slovakia.
Gittens is not exactly a regular starter for Chelsea at the moment, but it is very good news that he has avoided injury here despite looking like he had hurt himself.
The young winger is developing and looking to find a place in the Chelsea team, competing with Alejandro Garnacho for that left winger position right now.
Any prolonged spell on the wing through injury would slow this down and set him back, so let’s hope he can get to the end of the international break in good shape.
