Olympic badminton champion Carolina Marín recently leveraged her platform to shed light on her own past struggles with bullying.

Marín shared in a conversation with the director of the EFE Agency. she elaborated on the emotional toll, noting, My parents noticed I was doing badly, and I had to communicate it to them in some way. My friends at that time gave me more negative things than positive.
This personal history has motivated Marín to become involved in an anti-bullying initiative.Her goal is to give a voice to those children who need someone’s support, because I didn’t feel confident telling someone what was happening to me.
This commitment reflects a desire to provide the kind of support she wished she had received.

Beyond her advocacy, Marín is also navigating a critically importent personal challenge: her recovery from a severe knee injury sustained during the semifinals of the last Olympic Games. She described the injury as a personal drama,
highlighting the dual pain of the physical injury and the emotional setback of being sidelined just short of another Olympic final.
Fortunately, her recovery is progressing well.This period has also opened new avenues for her. I’m getting training to be a coach and to be able to help all those young peopel who play badminton,
she announced, expressing her hope to see many champions emerge.
