Badminton Victoria News & Updates

Badminton Victoria extends its congratulations to the Bendigo Eaglehawk Badminton Club for successfully hosting a triple-header of international tournaments this month — the VICTOR Oceania Para Badminton Championships, YONEX Bendigo International, and the YONEX Australian Para Badminton International.

The week brought players and officials from across Australia and overseas to regional Victoria, giving local fans the chance to see world-class badminton close to home.

BV CEO Clint Proctor said the club’s effort showed what can be achieved through teamwork and strong community support. “The Bendigo Eaglehawk Badminton Club continues to set a great example for regional badminton,” Proctor said. “Hosting three international events in succession is no small task, and the club’s dedication and teamwork have been outstanding.”

The tournaments were held at the Eaglehawk Badminton and Table Tennis Stadium, supported by the City of Greater Bendigo, Badminton Australia, and YONEX. The week of competition provided valuable opportunities for both able-bodied and para athletes to perform on home soil and engage with the local community.

Badminton Victoria thanks the Bendigo Eaglehawk Badminton Club, its volunteers, and all event partners for their contribution to a successful series of tournaments.
