October 22 – 11.05pm – MILANO

Two advance matches of the women’s Serie A-1 (in view of the Club World Cup) played this Wednesday evening. Here is the news and results.

SCANDICCI-MILANO 3-0 (25-23, 25-22, 25-23)

Milan returns to earth after the Super Cup and Scandicci starts flying again after two uncertain matches. The anticipation of the thirteenth matchday (Club World Cup, in which Gaspari’s team will take part in December) confirms the unpredictability of this season and sees Savino del Bene convincingly overcome Numia 3-0. The guests seem to start well in the first half, but stop at 15-18, while the Tuscans (7-2 break) find the serve again and overtake. Milano struggles with reception for the rest of the match, and is imprecise in decisive moments, despite the good contribution, once again, from Egonu. Ognjenovic, MVP, manages his teammates best, who never tremble in the always tight finals. The three points give the lead in the standings, with one more race, to Savino del Bene in cohabitation with Conegliano and Novara.

Scandicci: Antropova 18 points. Team Blocks: 7. Team Aces: 6.

Milano: I got 21 points. Team goals: 7 (Kurtagic 4). Ace team: 3.

Pinerolo-Conegliano 0-3 (10-25, 21-25,19-25)

It is Prosecco Doc that emerges victorious from the Pala Bus Company in Pinerolo, in today’s advance, with a clear 3-0 in just 1 hour and 20 minutes. The Panthers start aggressively right from the start and with their foot on the accelerator, making the most of their guns: Gabi and Haak. The difference in the offensive phase is notable: 25 attacks for Monviso, 56 for Conegliano. In the first set the home sextet appears to be in clear difficulty, but does well to recover in the second and at times in the third. Lubian looks very good, scoring 14 points (with 3 blocks and 1 ace) with 71% in attack. Haak shows off his entire technical repertoire, Gabi attacks and defends seamlessly. At the end of the match there will be 16 points on the scoresheet for both, with the Brazilian named MVP of the match. For Wash4green on the shields Davyskiba who tried to give his best in the offensive phase (11 points) and reception (59% of 27 balls). Conegliano joins Novara at 11 at the top of the standings, Pinerolo remains penultimate at 3 points.

Pinerolo: Davyskiba 11 points. Team Blocks: 6. Team Aces: 5.

Conegliano: Haak and Gabi 16 points. Team Blocks: 5. Team Aces: 2.
