Jeppe Erenbjerg is one of the big revelations in our competition at Zulte Waregem. However, he himself is very impressed with Hans Vanaken at Club Brugge.
“He is so smart and doesn’t make technical mistakes,” says Erenbjerg. “When things aren’t going well, he drops down to restore balance and get the team playing football again. And as soon as he succeeds, he moves forward again to provide assists and score. Just great.”
Erenbjerg says he first saw Vanaken play well during a match against Club Brugge and has continued to follow him in the Champions League ever since, where his impression was only confirmed. According to Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany, Vanaken was also the player who managed to hold his own despite the 4-0 defeat against them.
