Dutch international Micky van de Ven helped Tottenham Hotspur with two goals to a 0-3 victory over Everton and thus to third place in the Premier League.
The defender headed twice from a corner. Pape Matar Sarr scored a third goal just before the end, but the victory was already achieved thanks to the Dutchman.
Van de Ven has already scored five goals in twelve games this season. Xavi Simons was substituted after an hour at Spurs.
Villa beats City
Aston Villa won 1-0 at home against Manchester City, three days after their Europa League defeat against Go Ahead Eagles. Bournemouth won 2-0 against Nottingham Forest with Justin Kluivert and is now number two in the Premier League behind Arsenal.
Villa made it 1-0 halfway through the first half from a corner kick. Matty Cash – who scored the 1-1 against the Dutch team on behalf of Poland at the beginning of September – was released and from about eighteen meters he scored with his left.
After an hour, City were really dangerous for the first time through Savinho, but his attempt was narrowly cleared by defender Pau Torres.
Just before the end, Erling Haaland seemed to score the 1-1, but his twelfth competition goal of this season was canceled due to offside. This ended his run of twelve consecutive games (in all competitions) with at least one goal.
Eze kills old club
Leader Arsenal took advantage of Manchester City’s defeat by beating Crystal Palace 1-0. At the end of a boring first half, Arsenal made it 1-0 through Eberechi Eze.

Defender Gabriel headed hard against the crossbar for Arsenal just after half-time. Arsenal then dropped slightly, but the victory was not in danger.
Because Liverpool also lost this weekend, Arsenal has opened a gap at the top of the rankings. The ‘Gunners’ have four points more than first pursuer Bournemouth.
Flemming and Hartman
Zian Flemming scored his first goals in the Premier League. He scored twice for Burnley when they visited Wolverhampton Wanderers: 2-3 win. Both times Quilindschy Hartman was the complainant.
Wolves came back to 2-2 just before half-time, partly thanks to a converted penalty from Jørgen Strand Larsen (former FC Groningen).
That also seemed to be the final score, but in the 95th minute substitute Lyle Foster scored the winner for Burnley: 2-3.
