Coach nardone’s foreign contingent includes Hungarian guards Eszter Varga and center Anna Denes. the Italian core of Salerno’s team boasts players with significant Serie A1 experience, such as Laura Gatti. Notably, Gatti was a formidable opponent last season, facing Viterbo in the Playoff semifinals while playing for Chemco Puianello.

The team has dedicated another week to intensive training, fueling their eagerness to compete in the Serie A2 championship, a league they earned promotion to last year after a remarkable winning streak.
Coach Carlo Scaramuccia shared his outlook on the season opener:
This is the first game of the year, and that inherently makes predictions incredibly challenging. It’s challenging to gauge the true strengths of each team and, more importantly, their current form at the conclusion of the preparation phase. We’ve focused intensely on improving our on-court chemistry, especially with a new group and existing players needing to find new balances. Though, Salerno has also undergone significant roster changes. I have faith in my team and the progress we’ve shown in recent outings. We’re preparing for a tough contest against an opponent likely to start aggressively to apply pressure. We understand that in a championship as competitive as this, every game is crucial, and we must give our absolute best to secure the two points.
Positive news is emerging from the team’s medical bay. All players who experienced minor issues during the preparation period have recovered, and the team’s physical condition is reported to be excellent. This means Coach Scaramuccia should have his full roster available for selection for this crucial road trip.
Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 PM.The officiating crew for this opening fixture will consist of referees Andrea manganiello from San giorgio del Sannio (BN) and Emanuele Bombace from Giugliano in Campania (NA).
