Swiss Badminton: Week of Badminton Recap

Compared to many other sports, badminton is more gender-equal than almost any other. Whether at international tournaments or in the interclub championship, girls and women are right at the heart of badminton! Despite everything, significantly more boys and men play badminton at club level. And that’s exactly what we want to change! During the Week of Badminton, our goal is to get more girls and women excited about our sport. Especially with the “Bring a girl” project, in which girls are specifically invited to training, we are trying to recruit new junior girls for the clubs – and with as little effort as possible for the clubs:

  1. download flyer,

    DE neutral flyer

    Flyer with Grip Gift DE

  2. Add flyers with personal club information,
  3. print,
  4. distribute in junior training
  5. and organize a cool training session during the Week of Badminton. You can find tips and tricks as well as possible training planning here: Ideas for training

The flyer invites the juniors of your club to bring their friends to training and, ideally, to get them excited about badminton. There are several incentives for this:

On the one hand, the focus is of course on having fun and the juniors can spend a fun evening with friends outside of the badminton club. On the other hand, Swiss Badminton takes over junior membership for one year for all girls who register with your club through “Bring a girl”. To benefit from this offer, the young leader simply needs to send an email to info@noSpamswiss-badminton.ch Write and let us know which junior girls joined through “Bring a Girl”.

It is also advisable to promise the juniors a small material gift, such as a grip tape. However, this is not provided by Swiss Badminton.

Let’s go:
Select, fill out, print and distribute flyers. Have fun!

And by the way:
We look forward to receiving impressions of your “Bring a girl” events. Send us photos or post diligently on social media with #weekofbadminton
During the Week of Badminton we will make your projects visible on our website and on social media.

We wish you lots of fun and success!
