[뉴스후=김정덕 기자] The Gyeonggi-do Suwon Office of Education will hold the ‘2nd Semester Suwon-type School Sports Club Festival’ starting with the School Sports Club Cluster Badminton Competition held at the Daepyeong Elementary School Gymnasium on October 22nd.
This festival was prepared to spread a school sports culture in which students can proactively participate and enjoy, and is comprised of ▲ an individual gymnastics festival for elementary school students, ▲ a Kids Run competition for lower elementary school students, ▲ a creative (broadcast) dance competition centered on female students, and ▲ a cluster competition for small schools.
In particular, the School Sports Club Cluster Competition is a competition held by small schools in cooperation at the regional level, and 3 to 12 schools from each district and district in Suwon directly plan and participate in the sports of interest. It is operated as a community-based sports activity that promotes exchange and cooperation between schools, and is nicknamed ‘Our Neighborhood School Sports Club Competition’ due to the characteristics of the operation method.
