Liselot Sánchez and A. Sánchez earned silver, while Puerto Rico’s Gabriela Caraballo Cardona and Glorialys Méndez Delgado took home the bronze.
The Santo Domingo International Badminton open 2025 concluded this Sunday at the New Horizons Academy,with Dominican duo Laritza Pie and Nairobi Jiménez clinching the gold medal in the thrilling women’s doubles final. Organized by the Dominican badminton Federation, the event showcased intense competition from around the globe.
Pie and jiménez displayed a masterful blend of agility and strategic play, ultimately defeating their compatriots Liselot Sánchez and A. Sánchez Matos in a hard-fought match. The final score stood at 18-21, 21-16, and 21-17, with Sánchez and Matos securing the silver medal.
Puerto Rico’s Gabriela Caraballo Cardona and Glorialys Méndez Delgado rounded out the podium, earning the bronze medal in a tournament that featured athletes from 16 different nations.

The tournament featured singles (men’s and women’s), doubles (men’s and women’s), and mixed doubles categories, offering a comprehensive display of badminton prowess.
