NFL Fans React to Controversial Patriots No-Call

NFL fans say the New England Patriots were ‘robbed’ after a touchdown was dismissed on Saturday.

In the first quarter of a game against the New Orleans Saints, Drake Mai and Damarian Douglas connected for an incredible 61-yard touchdown.

But as Douglas went out to celebrate with his team’s players, authorities called for a controversial offensive passing intervention, leaving many fans bored.

It was quickly revealed that a flag had been thrown after wide receiver Stephen Digs caught up with Saints Star Cool-Aid McKinstry and called OPI’s Patriots.

However, many fans pointed out that Diggs and McKinstry were not involved in the play and were in fact not even close to the ball.

Patriots coach Mike Wabel was outraged by this decision, and fans expressed their frustration on social media shortly after.

Fans smoked after authorities overruled a Patriots touchdown for clear OPI. Stephen Digs and Cool -Aid were not involved in the play.

Diggs and McKinstry held each other’s hands, but clearly not enough to make the call.

Fans quickly took to social media to claim the Patriots were 'robbers.'

One person wrote: ‘The shelter could call for supplemental penalties for the rest of the game, but for whatever reason, they dropped the Patriots’ 61-Gaja touchdown pass.

‘The flag was thrown late so I thought it was roaming after the TD. weird ‘.

Another said, ‘How can you justify this call when the ball wasn’t even thrown to him?’ Do officers understand what pass intervention is?

‘The NFL literally robbed TD of the pot. Not a close call, not a backwards one, but a fourth, direct heist. I’m not afraid if the patriots blow up the Saints. That thought will be on my mind for a while. One of the worst calls I’ve ever seen is ‘Someone else said’.

Meanwhile, one official said, ‘I’m not one to criticize the officers, but this was one of the worst official matches I’ve ever seen.’

On the next play, Saints corner Quincy Riley was called for a defensive pass intervention, which set up the Patriots at the 50-yard line and was viewed by many as a makeup call.

But to make matters worse, game officials once again dismissed the Patriots’ touchdown on an offensive pass interference.

During the fourth quarter, offensive pass interference occurred again against Diggs.

Again, Digs are included. Replays showed the wide receiver lightly placing his hand on the back of a defensive rival, but many saw it as a benign call.

If you do the math, that’s an incredible 51st grade that is high enough to put up a solid performance against the Saints.

Despite the controversial authority, New England did not shy away from their performance and led 14-6 by the end of the first quarter.

He had a 22-16 break after joining Keshan Boute for a stunning touchdown just before Mayi halftime.
