The New York Knicks have a clear opinion on a Jalen Brunson trade. Even a possible deal for Giannis Antetokounmpo apparently didn’t change their attitude.

According to reports, the names Karl-Anthony Towns, OG Anunoby and Mitchell Robinson were discussed in the Antetokounmpo negotiations, but Brunson was immediately blocked.
Brunson has been with the Knicks since 2022 and signed a new four-year contract until 2028/2029 in July last year, with a player option last season. The new working document is valid from 2025/26 and will bring the man from New Brunswick $156.5 million.
Since the 29-year-old was drafted by the Dallas Mavericks in 2018, he has amassed 487 regular-season appearances. Last season, Brunson appeared on the court 65 times for the Knicks and averaged 26 points with a career-high 7.3 assists.
