Valette, who transitioned from player to president last year, expressed his satisfaction with the club’s progress. It’s been a year of satisfaction and discovery,
he stated,reflecting on the challenges and triumphs of his first year at the helm. He’s not alone in this endeavor, finding a strong partner in Samuel Préaux, the club’s vice-president and youth coordinator. Préaux, a long-time resident and player for the club’s D3 adult team, embodies the club’s commitment to its roots.
With 70 registered members, the UBCB boasts a healthy mix of young talent and recreational players. Though, Valette is keen to cultivate a more competitive spirit. We are looking for competitors,
he emphasized, signaling a strategic push to elevate the club’s performance on the regional stage. This ambition is well-supported by the club’s investment in coaching.
The UBCB now proudly features two dedicated coaches: Valentin Hamard and Martin Orain. Their impact is already being felt, particularly through their involvement in extracurricular activities at the Pierre-Lostis elementary school. By supervising after-school programs, they’re introducing the sport to a new generation of potential players.
