This year marks a significant shift in the selection process for the County Citizens’ Award. Previously, awards were distributed across five distinct fields, with one recipient per field. Though, the criteria have been broadened, eliminating field-specific distinctions and allowing for the selection of up to three individuals based on their overall impact. This change aims to recognize a wider range of contributions and ensure that deserving individuals are honored, irrespective of their specific area of expertise.
Furthermore, the judging methodology has been refined to enhance fairness and objectivity. The revised process involves calculating the average score of candidates while excluding the highest and lowest scores. This statistical approach ensures a more equitable evaluation, leading to the selection of the top three candidates based on a robust and impartial assessment.
