France U17 Women Beat Ireland: Match Report

A great first in the competition. This Thursday, October 23, the French U17 Women’s Team actually faced the Republic of Ireland as part of the first day of Round 1 of qualifying for Euro 2026. A meeting which saw the French selection win by a score of two goals to zero on the installations of the DFB-Campus in Frankfurt (Germany), theater of group A2.

From the 19th minute of play, Maëlys Ané managed to open the scoring. The French team will be on top but will scare themselves until the last opportunity of the game and the break goal scored by Léa Motyka. Franck Plenecassagne’s players are at the top of the standings, tied on points with Germany (2-1 winner of Belgium), who will be their next opponent, Sunday October 26 (1:00 p.m.).
