Indianapolis (dpa) – Former NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez was allowed to leave prison about a week after a bloody stabbing. Indianapolis police confirmed Sanchez’s release. The current Fox Sports TV expert is accused of, among other things, serious bodily harm, as the US news agency AP reported.

According to the information, Sanchez is said to have entered a truck without authorization in front of a hotel in Indianapolis and attacked the driver. He is said to have sprayed Sanchez with pepper spray. He then attacked Sanchez with a knife. The former NFL star, who smelled of alcohol, was taken to hospital with stab wounds to his right upper body, according to police.

The Californian was active in the NFL from 2009 to 2018 and played for the New York Jets, the Philadelphia Eagles, the Dallas Cowboys, the Chicago Bears and the Washington football team. After his professional career, he took on jobs as a TV expert at several broadcasters.
