Evita Games: Chubut’s Final Battles

This Friday was carried out the penultimate day of competitions of the 2025 edition of the National Sports Games Evita, in the Buenos Aires spa of Mar del Plata.

It was a day of definitions, where Chubut demonstrated his power again in different disciplines, achieving a significant amount of podiums, around so far, half a hundred medals obtained among all disciplines.

Chubut’s bádminton culminated his participation by adding a silver medal. Julieta Díaz, who arrived undefeated to the final of the tournament after five consecutive wins, could not before the strong Buenos Aires rival, with which he fell 2-0 (21-14 and 21-13) and thus, the native of Paso del Sapo was left with the silver medal. For his part, Santino Solussolgia of Rawson could not crown his great tournament with a podium. In the duel for the third place in the male category, he fell to Corrientes 2-0 (21-10 and 21-14) and stayed with a very meritorious fourth place, taking into account that it was his first participation in a national tournament.

The female rugby finally could not crown with the national title, the historic performance he had in the tournament. The Trelew girls could not before the power of Buenos Aires and fell 22-12 in the decisive party. However, the silver medal obtained represents a historical achievement, both for Chubutense sport in general, and for female rugby in particular.

Athletics closed its general participation with a fifth place in the sum of points. As for the medals, this last day he had Olivia Conquistando El Oro in 200 meters, Valentino Bonelli also achieving gold in 600 meters and Ema Gorognano reaching bronze in hammer launch. Finally, the 8×200 post stayed with the bronze medal. In total, Chubut added 8 medals (gold and 4 bronze).

The Olympic lifting discipline left a bronze medal for Chubut at the close of the competition. Karate closed its participation this Friday with obtaining three medals. Ostin Breton of Puerto Madryn was bronze in Kata (forms), while in Kumite (Combat), Maximum Vallogia and Victoria Gallardo stayed with the silver medal in their respective categories.

Boxing will be one of the few disciplines that will end on Saturday morning and Chubut has two representatives who will go for gold. This Friday the semifinal fighting in each category were developed and both Rebecca Chiquichano in 54 kilos, as Gómez Geremias in 60kg, won their duels and on Saturday morning they will be fighting for being new national champions.

In sports shooting, Milagros Quintana Milagros stayed with the third step of the podium and took the bronze medal, while Maximiliano Villafaena, was seventh.

The Chubutense fight added two important medals at the close of the competition. Yamila Proboste consecrated national champion in the category up to 45 kilos, while Camilo Algañaraz, stayed with the bronze in 85kg.

The Chubut tennis team finished its participation with a 16th place, after the fall against Corrientes, in what was the last clash of the tournament.

Adapted sport

Chubut’s adapted sport ended its participation in a great way, as we have accustomed us year after year, adding a large number of medals.

The adapted athletics ended its performance this Friday on the track of the Mar del Plata sports center, adding a total of 15 medals, throughout the entire competition. There were 4 golden medals, 8 silver and 3 bronze, to close an excellent participation.

It is worth remembering that the adapted swimming had finished Wednesday, with a total of 8 medals for Chubut (6 gold and 2 silver) and in adapted table tennis, Jeremiah Bordón contributed two others in single (gold) and doubles (bronze).

The adapted 3×3 basketball lost 9-8 with Córdoba in the duel for third place and the Chubutenses boys could not crown with a medal, their excellent performance in the tournament.

In this way, Chubut’s adapted sport closed its participation with 25 medals (11 gold, 10 silver and 3 bronze).

Closing act

Once the competitions of this Friday, in the afternoon, in the Plaza Colón, the closing ceremony of the 2025 edition of the National Sports Games Evita was carried out. It was attended by the more than 8000 participants from all the provinces and among the authorities present, was Chubut Deportes Milton Reyes.

A pet parade was held, among which Golny was: the Chubutense pet represented in a young Patagonian Puma, which symbolizes the claw, youth and the spirit of overcoming Chubutenses athletes.

In this way the penultimate sports day of the 2025 version of the National Sports Games Evita concluded, which will be ending this Saturday after noon, hoping to have Chubut in several more podiums and thus, to increase the historical record of medals.
