Archers from Curicó, Chile, showcased exceptional skill and determination at the National Indoor Archery Final, clinching an notable thirteen podium finishes. The event, held at the Sergio Livingstone sports center in peñalolén, saw over a hundred athletes from across the nation compete.
the Centaleón Arquería Club emerged as a dominant force. Their athlete, Ana Zuniga, not only secured the championship title in the Women’s cub category but also shattered the national record, achieving a remarkable 267 points, surpassing her own previous best.
Curicó’s youth contingent proved their mettle in the Junior categories:
- Emilia Astudillo earned gold, and Martina Quezada took silver in the Women’s Junior Recurve Freestyle.
- Germán Ossa claimed the top spot in Men’s Junior Recurve Freestyle.
- José Avello secured a gold medal in Junior Men’s Bowhunter.
The Curicó delegation further solidified their success with strong performances in the adult divisions. A notable highlight was the complete sweep in the Adult Men’s Freestyle category,where Antonio Chaparro (Gold),Fabián Nahuelcoy (Silver),and Isaac Torres (Bronze) occupied all three podium positions.
