Anderlecht continues to struggle on the road. Against Charleroi they looked for their first victory away from home in two months,but suffered their 3rd defeat of the season. A mistake by goalkeeper Colin Coosemans ended the Purple & White’s series of six unbeaten matches.

Hard fuck Coosemans
Going under the ball once has major consequences. Colin Coosemans was again strong this season in goal for Anderlecht, but went wrong against Charleroi with about 10 minutes left.
He misjudged a corner, after which Cheick Keita was able to head in the only goal of the evening at the far post. The defender guided Charleroi to victory, although it was still a flattering victory.
Charleroi was the most dangerous team in the first half, but did not create any great opportunities. Titraoui had the greatest chance, but kicked the ball too weakly towards Coosemans’ goal.
anderlecht, which had again started with Cvetkovic and Camara in the starting line-up, did nothing in return.
Hazard saw his ball hit the post.
Storm Anderlecht subsides quickly
Anderlecht were able to threaten in the second half. At halftime, Cvetkovic and Sardella had remained in the dressing room for Bertaccini and Stroeykens. They provided new impetus and immediatly after the kick-off, Anderlecht was already dangerous, even though Hazard just couldn’t reach Camara’s cross.
It was another example of the last pass just not being good enough. And when they were good, something else went wrong. Hazard deflected a ball against the post. Angulo scored, but was offside.
And so the purple-white storm subsided again after about 20 minutes. Charleroi then took over a bit, resulting in opportunities for Guiagon and Scheidler. But what they couldn’t do, Keita did.
After that goal,Anderlecht tried to change course with Luis Vazquez,but he too could not change the score. So Anderlecht knows again what losing is, at Charleroi the victory after 4 consecutive defeats is more than nice.

Rik De Mil (coach Charleroi): “This victory is good. we play a good first half and have to score. We don’t do that and then we certainly know that Anderlecht can still come with a lot of offensive players on the bench.But we keep a clean sheet and win. That shows that you have to stay calm and keep believing in the hard work. The past few weeks have been challenging, but now we have to try to set a series.”

At Charleroi they shout it out. After 4 defeats, they are back to winning ways. It does this because it was able to benefit from mistakes by Colin Coosemans. Keita could easily score the only goal on a corner.
