Buenos Aires came out firing, establishing an early lead in the first quarter with a potent inside game that left Boca de Nigua scrambling. However, Boca de Nigua, much like a seasoned NFL team adjusting its defensive scheme at halftime, regrouped and unleashed a powerful offensive surge in the second quarter. They entered the halftime break with a commanding 45-31 lead, shifting the momentum decisively.

The second half saw Boca de Nigua maintain their aggressive stance. their lead swelled to 65-51 by the end of the third quarter, a cushion that felt significant but never entirely safe in a game of runs. This is where the true grit of a championship team shines through, similar to how a basketball team might weather a late-game comeback attempt by a rival.

The defensive anchor for Boca de Nigua’s championship run was undoubtedly reinforcement javier Bautista, affectionately known as “Tarzán.” His presence in the paint was formidable, disrupting Buenos Aires’ offensive flow and providing the crucial stops needed to secure the victory. Bautista’s defensive prowess was the bedrock upon which Boca de Nigua built their championship foundation, a role akin to a lockdown cornerback in football or a dominant center in hockey.
