The III Desmarcadas Gala that was held at the Cartuja Center CITE in Seville once again brought together countless sports personalities, including the eight winners. Among them, an exultant Carolina Marín was waiting to go on stage with Manu Sánchez y Teresa Nunez to collect his award. What the Huelva native did not know was what awaited her on the theater stage.
Carolina did not have escape before the surprise in the form of a test that awaited him from the presenters of the gala. After collecting the prize and leaving a few words of affection and gratitude to everyone present for such an emotional gift, he had to responder to the proposed questions while smiling at the people waiting to know his answers.
The test of Carolina Marín

• Manu: I don’t believe either of the last two… More difficult: an Olympic final or a day without shouting “Let’s go!”
- Carolina: Can’t both things be done? An Olympic final.
Manu Sánchez went a little further and asked him about what happened at the Tokyo Olympics, in which an injury kept him from the Olympic final. “Yes, it was worth it, I was going to achieve my second great dream, I was ten points away from going to the final, and it was all worth it. Life stopped me suddenly, it wanted me to have that little stone in my path. I don’t give up, I keep trying, I keep giving myself the opportunity to be on a badminton court.”
“Carolina, you are proof that speed is not only on the track, but also in the head and heart,” said Manu Sánchez after finishing. “Thank you for continuing to inspire, for shouting “Let’s go!” for all of us and for reminding us that every point is earned with courage,” Teresa added.
