Second away match for Cantù who, on Sunday at 5pm, will face Brescia at the PalaLeonessa, a 5,200 seat facility, renovated and inaugurated in 2018. Tickets for the match are on sale, for all sectors, on the Vivaticket portal: guest sector on sale for 21 euros, a sector which will be practically deserted, since the Eagles have already made it known that they will desert this and also the next away matches.
The fourth day is now upon us, even if the Italians’ international commitments are not over yet. Yesterday Milan played in the Euroleague against Valencia, tonight it’s Virtus’ turn to host Panathinaikos. In the Eurocup, defeats for Trento (60-80 against Ankara) and Venezia (103-103n against Cluj-Napoca). Only Trieste played in the Champions League, beaten away by Igokea 91-76, victories for Sassari and Reggio Emilia in the Europe Cup against Valcea (94-73) and Bashkimi (100-65).
The championship will return from tomorrow with two advance matches: Varese-Trento at 8pm and Tortona-Trapani at 8.30pm. The remaining six matches will be played on Sunday, with the big match Milan-Venice at 4pm, Brescia-Cantù at 5pm, Naples-Reggio Emilia at 5.30pm, the Friulian derby Trieste-Udine at 6pm, Bologna-Sassari at 7pm, finishing with Cremona-Treviso at 8pm.
Today coach Nicola Brienza will present Cantù’s match in Brescia in the usual meeting with the press and will take stock of the team’s situation. Meanwhile, the fourth edition of the High School Canturnament, the basketball tournament between schools in Como and the province, is warming up and will be presented on Monday at the headquarters.
