The Professional Football League has officially confirmed that the Superclassic between Boca Juniors and River Platecorresponding to matchday 15 of the 2025 Clausura Tournament, will be played next Sunday, November 9 at 4:30 p.m. at the Alberto J. Armando stadium, better known as La Bombonera.
The announcement puts an end to the speculation that had circulated in recent days regarding the kickoff time of the most anticipated match in Argentine football. It will be the 266th official meeting between the two teams, and it promises to be another thrilling chapter in the history of the country’s most important derby.
It will finally be played half an hour later than originally planned, at the request of security authorities, as the initial intention was for the match to kick off at exactly four o’clock in the afternoon.
Boca will host River at La Bombonera.
The record between these two giants of Argentine football shows an advantage for Boca: out of the 265 official matches played, the Xeneize have won 92, River have won 88, and there have been 85 draws. In terms of goals, Boca has scored 339 and River 322.
With the date and time now confirmed, all that’s left is for the ball to start rolling. On Sunday, November 9 at 4:30 p.m., the country will once again come to a standstill to witness a new edition of the Superclásico of Argentine football.
