The Honduran U-19 basketball teams that will represent us at the XII Central American Games in Guatemala to begin competing this weekend are looking for a medal for the country.
The Catracha delegation left at 5 am by land to Guateala, where they are expected to arrive tonight to rest and prepare for the debut on Saturday, October 25.
The women’s team will be led by José Leva (coach) and his assistants Ernesto Leva and Rolando Rivera.
The contingent is made up of: Jeissel Fiallos, Astri Canales, April Baiza, Gina Núñez, Alexa Barahona, Stephanie García, Samantha Luque, Nicole Martínez, Kenia Castillo, Andrea Díaz, Ana Lobo and Ana Santos.
The girls debut on Saturday the 25th at 12 pm against Nicaragua.
The men’s team will be directed by Carlos Padilla, with Juan Francisco Reyes and Neptalí Figueroa as assistants, while the physical trainer, Lester Gavarrete.
The men are made up of: Juan Vázquez, Marcus Ruiz, Maro Avilés, Jonathan Stanley, Henry Morales, Kelvin Williams, Juan Lacayo, Juan Barahona, Samuel López, Andrés Maradiaga, Aarón Peralta and Aarón Lacayo.
The men debut on Saturday, October 25 at 8 pm against Guatemala. (GG)
