Saudi Arabia Set to Host 10th Masters 1000 Tennis Event Starting 2028

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – the global tennis landscape is poised for a notable shift as the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) has officially announced that Saudi Arabia will host a tenth Masters 1000 tournament beginning in 2028.This landmark decision, revealed in partnership with SRJ Sports Investments, the investment arm of saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), signals a major expansion of the elite men’s tennis circuit and underscores the Kingdom’s rapidly growing influence in international sports.

The new tournament, which will be played on hard courts, is slated to kick off the ATP season. While the specific host city is yet to be confirmed,speculation points towards Riyadh,the nation’s capital. The event is planned as a week-long spectacle, according to ATP President Andrea Gaudenzi, who shared details during a press conference in Paris.
