Maintenance of your badminton balls

You can do something yourself to get a longer life for your shuttlecocks or badminton balls. It is important that you store them in a moist place, as the ones removed will be more resilient and will therefore not break off as quickly. So store your shuttlecocks in a damp place, preferably in a fridge or perhaps in a badminton humidor. If the feather balls become dry, the feathers break faster and the service life tends to decrease faster. If you don’t have enough space in the fridge, you can always steam them over boiling water or while you cook potatoes. Lightly cover your quills and let some steam into the tube. it will give your shuttlecocks better conditions.
