Campus Hoops Crown New Champions: BARÜ’s “LIVES WITH SPORTS” Initiative Fuels Student Success

The roar of the crowd, the squeak of sneakers on hardwood, and the triumphant cheers of victory – these were the sounds echoing across the BARÜ campus as the 2025-2026 Fall Semester Basketball Tournament reached its thrilling conclusion. This highly anticipated event, a cornerstone of the university’s “BARÜ LIVES WITH SPORTS” initiative, has once again proven its immense value in shaping well-rounded student-athletes.

The “BARÜ LIVES WITH SPORTS” program is more than just a series of athletic competitions; it’s a holistic approach to student development. Dean of the Faculty of sports Sciences, Prof. dr. Şuayip Captain, emphasized the program’s profound impact, stating, The ‘BARÜ LIVES WITH SPORTS’ events contributed greatly to the physical, social, and cultural development of the students. This sentiment underscores the understanding that athletic pursuits on campus are intrinsically linked to academic and personal growth, much like how top NCAA programs integrate sports into the fabric of university life, fostering leadership and teamwork that extends far beyond the court.
