New York (AP)-Aaron Judge saved a race with a trapped in dive and scored the race of the advantage with a double of Cody Bellinger and the New York Yankees beat the Toronto Blue Jays on Sunday 4-3 and approached two games of the leader of the East Division of the American League.
Making his second appearance in the right garden since July 25 due to an injury to the flexor tendon of his right elbow, Judge took a few steps and launched to catch the 106.4 mph line of George Springer, leaving Nathan Lukes stranded in second and protecting an advantage of a race.
Judge received three bases by balls, including one in the third entry when he stole second and came home with double Bellinger against the wall of the right central garden.
Looking for their first title of the East Division of the American League since 2015, the Blue Jays (82-61) won eight of 13 games against the Yankees this year and have the tiebreaker in their favor. New York (80-63) won his second consecutive game about Toronto after losing the first game of the series on Friday and leads the race for the first wildcutor of the American League.
