Vingegaard, Pidcock & Almeida: Race Updates

The eleventh stage of the Vuelta a España 2025 goes into the books as that neutralized stage due to a too dangerous situation with Pro-Palestina demonstrators in the final kilometer, but there were also time differences in the rankings. The ride around Bilbao yielded a spectacle in the final because Jonas Vingegaard and Tom Pidcock drove away from the rest. Pidcock in particular makes a leap.

More than three hours after the neutralized finish of the stage, Vuelta-Tijdzaammer shared Tissot The ‘ride result’ pass, even though no winner has been designated by the organization. The time differences were recorded 3 kilometers from the original finish. At that point classification leader Vingegaard was the first to pass, for Pidcock. Both had already caught bonifications at the top of the last climb (Pidcock 6, Vingegaard 4 seconds).

On the ‘finish’ the two had a 10 -second lead over a group with João Almeida, Jai Hindley, Matteo Jorgenson and Felix Gall. A group followed on 24 seconds with Giulio Ciccone and Giulio Pellizzari, among others. Torstein Traen lost more time and has lost its top 3 place in the general classification.

Pidcock sneaks to Almeida
In that general classification, Vingegaard has now increased its lead over Almeida to 50 seconds, while Pidcock is not far behind it: he follows only 6 seconds of the Portuguese. Traen is more than a minute and after that Gall is the number five on more than two minutes from leader Vingegaard.
