Vingegaard Leads Vuelta: Latest Updates & Results

Jonas Vingegaard got the lead in the overall ranking of the Spanish Vuelta. At the end of the tenth stage of the Torstein Torstein Træen (Team Bahrain Victorious) from Norway, the Dane from the Team Visma-Lease-A-Bike moved from Norway and slipped back into the red jersey of the overall best. Vingegaard leads with 26 seconds before Træen, third is the Portuguese Joao Almeida (UAE Emirates Team-XRG) with a deficit of 38 seconds.

The Australian Jay Vine from Team UAE Team Emirates-XRG secured the victory of the tenth Vuelta stage, his second day of the day at this year’s Vuelta and his fourth overall. After a solo, the 29-year-old drove over the finish line of the mountain arrival at Puerto de Belagua in the Pyrenees. After 173.5 kilometers of Pablo Castrillo (Movistar) with a gap of 35 seconds. Third place went to Castrillos teammate Javier Romo with 64 seconds behind. All three drivers belonged to a large group of outliers that had formed about 70 kilometers before the finish.
