Verdon U17: Real Madrid Win & World Cup Quarterfinals

Palmeiras’s under-17 team defeated Real Madrid 2-0, this Thursday (04), at Pozoblanco stadium in Cordoba, Spain, for the third round of the group stage of the Club World Cup. The goals of the gym’s offspring were scored by Juan Francisco and Ruan Yago.

Verdon advances in the U17 World Cup after winning the three games he played for the initial phase of the tournament, leading Group C. The opponent of the Palestrine team in the Wednesdays will be defined soon.

Last Tuesday (02), the team defeated Corinthians 3-2, in Santana de Parnaíba, with goals from Gustavo Froldi (twice) and João Paulo. In the next round, the lecture faces Internacional, on the 16th (Tuesday), at 15h (Brasília), at the Morada dos Quer-Queros, in Alvorada-RS.

Verdon also disputes the Paulista U17 Championship. After being surpassed 1-0 by Grêmio Prudente in the last round, the team will face Rio Preto, on Saturday (06), at 11am, at Anísio Haddad Stadium, in São José do Rio Preto.

The goals: At 25 of the first half, Ruan Yago found Juan Francisco in the area, and the striker got rid of the marking before finishing cross and opens the scoring. Eight minutes later, Derick made the cross from the left, Ruan Yago dominated in the area and kicked to enlarge.
