Václav Ježek Tournament 2025: Scores & Mexico Win

The Czech national team lost the opening half -time in the third match of this year’s Václav Ježek tournament, but like Ireland, against Mexico, coach Pavel Drsko in the final duel in Radotín was able to turn the score and win 2: 1.

The Czech team defeated Ireland 2: 1 in the opening two matches of the tournament and subsequently tied 2: 2 with Slovakia. The Mexicans lost to Slovakia 2: 3 and high 0: 4 with Turkey. Before the last day, four teams had four points.

Nikola Jadrníček was the first big chance of the match, who at the end of the fourth minute waited in the penalty area for the center of the corner kick and the country sent the ball to the goal, but the Mexican goalkeeper knocked the ball.

Shortly thereafter, Lukáš Linhart centered, the ball fallen beautifully for the defense of Mexico, but Captain Petr Potměšil sent the ball to the goalkeeper’s gloves in the fall.

In the end, however, the Mexicans got into the lead in the 17th minute, when they won the ball on the middle of the field and after a quick transfer of the game from the right side centered Captain Gambo exactly in front of the goal and Alex Gutiérrez sent the ball to the goalkeeper France.

Matyáš Tomek got a big chance in the twenty -five minute, who finished himself in front of the goalkeeper after the pass from Potměšil, but Jihlava striker scored the goal. He was in a chance Io a moment later, but his clever end ended up over the goal.

Eight minutes after the change of sides, the Mexicans reached the break again, when the lonely captain of Gamboa proceeded from the right side, but missed the goal with a cross shot.

In the fifty -fifth minute, the Czech team managed to compare to 1: 1. Nikola Jadrníček exported the ball in the middle of the playground, found the aisle behind the defense of Jan Hájek, who watched the offside position and then twice shot the goalkeeper Lopez.

At the beginning of the 69th minute, the referee ordered a penalty in favor of the Czech team by hand in the penalty area and Captain Petr Potměšil subsequently changed the penalty without any problems.

Five minutes later, the captain burned in a penalty area, bypassed Salazar, who fouled him and won the second penalty. But Jan Hájek did not change it, whose attempt to the goalkeeper Lopez captured and the ball went to the corner.

In the end, the Czech team stood up all Mexican offensive situations and kept close lead until the final whistle. The Czech team eventually took second place at the tournament. Switzerland defeated Slovakia 2: 0 on Sunday and did not score at the tournament once and won this year.

“We were hard to push against well organized Mexico and unfortunately we collected the first. By the end of the half time we had two goal opportunities that we did not change and so we went back to the cabins. I would not like to thank all organizers for a nicely organized tournament. said coach Pavel Drsek.
