Uruguay, Colombia and Paraguay have qualified for next year’s World Cup. Uruguay won 3-0 against Peru and Colombia defeated Bolivia 3-0.
Paraguay was enough for a draw against Ecuador (0-0) to finish in the top six of the South American qualifying group. For Paraguay it is the first time since 2010 that it has qualified for a World Cup and that led to a big party in the capital Asunción.

Doubt with Messi
Argentina, just like Brazil and Ecuador for sure of a World Cup ticket, won 3-0 against Venezuela. Lionel Messi was good for two hits in his last qualifying match on Argentinian soil.
The Argentinian superstar expressed doubts after the competition about his own participation in the World Cup. “I am hopeful and I feel like it, but we have to look at it from day to day and from competition to competition.”
Messi played his last World Cup qualifying match for his own audience. He will be 39 during the World Cup next summer.
