The Autonomous University of the State of Mexico (UAEMÉX) carried out the flag ceremony of its sports delegation that will participate in the National Championships of the National Association of Universities and Institutions of Higher Education (ANUIES) 2025.
The act was held at the University Gymnasium “Lic. Adolfo López Mateos” and was headed by Rector Martha Patricia Zarza Delgado, who delivered the institutional labar as a symbol of unity and university identity.

Accompanied by members of his cabinet and university community, Zarza Delgado congratulated the athletes for their discipline and commitment. In addition, he urged them to represent the institution with pride and attachment to university values during the competition.
“In this university transformation process one of the axes is that we can all move towards a better development condition, a vision that university sport generates and promotes,” he said.
Institutional support messages
The Secretary of University Governance, Jorge Alejandro Vásquez Caicedo, recognized the effort of the Auriverdes representatives and asked them for confidence in their performance.
“The sacrifice and delivery of each of you already makes them winners from this moment. The challenge is not simple, but they have the support of this house of studies,” he said.
For her part, the Pan American and World Pan American and World Champion, Marifer Noriega Medina, motivated her classmates to compete with courage, respect and pride in the name of the university community.
University Delegation and Disciplines
The delegation of the Uaeméx It is made up of 140 students and 20 coaches who will compete in ten disciplines: chess, bádminton, aerobic gymnastics, fencing, e-sports, pediment, kickboxing, swimming, paddle tennis and porras and animation.
During the ceremony, sports kits were also given to the participants and a special recognition was awarded to 62 university medalists who have stood out in previous competitions.
