However, Cengiz Kirat, Head of Football for Nippes 78 II, has vehemently denied these allegations. Speaking to the “Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung,” Kirat expressed shock and surprise at the claims, stating he witnessed no attacks after the game and heard nothing untoward during the match, which he described as “entirely decent.”
Despite the denial,TuS makkabi Cologne is pursuing legal action. Witek Krymalowski, chairman of the club, confirmed that a complaint has been filed with the Cologne public prosecutor’s office. Additionally, the sports court of the Middle Rhine football Association and the antisemitism representative of North Rhine-Westphalia have been notified. Makkabi is pushing for significant consequences for those involved.
