A young football player from the secondary school of Trois-Rivières pioneers had to be resuscitated on the field during a match Friday evening.
After being placed, the Benjamin level player of the Gothics collapsed, victim of a cardiorepiratory arrest.
Trois-Rivières police indicate that a call to 911 was made around 10 p.m. to report the event. Two ambulances went there, as is generally the case during incidents in a sporting event. The four paramedical ambulance technicians intervened with the adolescent.
The authorities confirm that he was resuscitated on the ground, before being taken to the nearest hospital center. According to information obtained by Radio-Canada, he was then transferred to the Sainte-Justine hospital in Montreal.
