Recently, Ostermünchen looked back on 30 years of judo and paid tribute to the commitment of Radu-Mihai Focsaneanu, which was proposed as an honorary member of the association.

Ostermünchen – The Judo department at SV Ostermünchen (SVO) has been old for 30 years. But without the Focsaneanu family there would probably be no judo in Ostermünchen. That is why the “maker”, Radu-Mihai Focsaneanu, was now proposed by the SVO association committee.

What started as an idea for your own children became a success story for the whole place. It was in 1995 when the sixth department was founded at the SVO. And to this day, the judo department is a lively and important part of the SVO.

District Administrator emphasizes the importance of sport

In a ceremony, Marie Binder recalled the story, ups and downs. Emotionally, she read Judo for 30 years like a film.

District Administrator Otto Lederer also underlined the great importance of sport for children and young people in his greeting. “There is also something different from the digital world,” he said, “namely friends of flesh and blood.” The district chairman Ludwig Tradler and Denis Weiser then came to the microphone. Denis Weiser then described the honor of the Judover Association at Radu Mihai Focsaneanu, which received the badge of honor in gold with wreath from the Bavarian Judover Association. In his speech, SVO board member Christian Mayer emphasized the tireless use of Focsaneanu.

“After you have already received all the SVO, the association committee has decided to propose a new honorary member at the next annual general meeting.” The long -lasting applause of everyone present showed that this proposal was given broad consent – for a person who shaped the judo sport in Ostermünchen like no other.

The second mayor Maria Breuer not only emphasized Radus tireless commitment, but also expressed special thanks to his wife. “Without the patience and support of his wife, such intensive use would not have been possible over so many years,” emphasized Breuer.
